Rants

Its a funny thing how human memory works. If you try to remember things from your past in general you'll forget them, while other strange things from your past will jump into your head at the weirdest times. One such time, as you could probably guess happened to me this evening. Here I am finishing up a naturely duty in the bathroom, and I spot a nice big black ant.

Side note, its a carpenter ant, and I've tried lots of things, ant traps, ant poison, home barriers, etc etc... any tips on how to successfully kill them? Email me. :)

Back to the ant. He was obviously wandering around aimlessly as most ants do, so I decided he should go for a swim. I plopped him in the bowl, and he swam as best he could. All six legs working as best they could, but the poor ant just couldnt get enough air. I said aloud, "Cup your hands!" which is the memory that popped into my head at that particular moment. It was something my father always used to say as he was "helping" me learn to swim, or drown depending on how you look at it.

My dad repeating things when I was younger, and I can just picture him in my head saying just that. "Cup your hands!" Well the poor ant, didn't listen. Of course the ant doesnt have hands which makes it harder to get to the edge of the bowl for a fleating moment of life before the torrent of water comes spiralling down to wash him into the sewers.

My regards to the ants family. And here's to dad. "CUP YOUR HANDS!"
